Preconference Workshop: New Era Contingency Planning
Roger Peters, Managing Director, RSM McGladrey, Inc., St. Paul, MN

Cyber-warfare, hacktivism, dirty bombs and other terms didn’t exist when most credit unions developed their business continuity plans. Today’s environment requires a hard look at our enterprise-wide risks and development of effective mitigation strategies. Our plans must incorporate enterprise-wide business requirements to reduce the potential impact on our staff, members and the community. This session will cover the development of continuity plans to address today’s environment along with understanding the constraints facing our institutions.

Key topics will include: business continuity planning requirements, risk assessment techniques, role of third-parties in your plan, risk-based contingency planning, and trends in supporting technologies.
