2007 has been an excellent year for CUNA Technology Council membership. “We started the year with 482 members and have added 53 new members since then. That's an 11% increase,” said Jackie Buchanan, VP of Information Technology for T & C Federal Credit Union, Pontiac, Michigan and Chair of the CTC Membership Committee. "It's a great accomplishment for any organization. We are on a roll with membership and I expect that we will exceed 600 members in 2008.”
Now is the perfect time for Council members to encourage their colleagues to join the Council. If they join now, they will be a member not only for all of 2008, but also for the remainder of 2007, all for the cost of their 2008 dues. That is up to 15 months for the price of 12. Plus, they will get the $250 member discount at the 2008 Annual Conference at the Williamsburg Lodge, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, July 30 – August 2, 2008.
Buchanan suggests that “Technology Council members should take this opportunity to encourage one or more of their colleagues to join so that they can enjoy the many benefits of membership.”
