Call for Executive Committee Nominations - 2008 Election

The CUNA Technology Council (CTC) is built around the democratic process of elected leadership. To that end, the current executive committee is pleased to announce the Council's call for nominations for seats on the executive committee.

There is one executive committee seat up for election. This seat will be elected to a three-year term.

The nominating committee, led by executive committee member John Morawski from the Massachusetts Credit Union League will evaluate and present recommended candidates to the membership for democratic election. In accordance with CTC bylaws, the committee will present a slate of candidates that exceeds the number of vacancies and presents as geographically and professionally balanced a roster as possible.

To qualify for a seat on the executive committee, candidates must:

• be a current CTC member in good standing;
• be willing and able to serve a three-year term;
• be willing and able to attend a minimum of two executive committee meetings annually;
• be willing and able to spend at least 50 hours or more per year on volunteer CTC work; and
• have the support of his or her employer to fully participate in required CTC Executive Committee requirements.

Position descriptions outlining responsibilities will be sent to all eligible candidates.

Candidates interested in serving on the Executive Committee should submit an electronic file with the following:

• a letter of interest which includes your credit union's asset size, number of members and the number of years you've worked in the credit union industry;
• a current resume; and
• a 100-word campaign statement

All information should be sent to John at jmorawski@cucenter.org no later than July 2, 2008. The election will be conducted on-line beginning July 7, 2008 and will continue through July 14, 2008. The newly elected member will take his/her executive committee seat at the conclusion of the 13th annual CUNA Technology Council Summit, July 30 – August 2, 2008 at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg , VA.
