Technology Council Announces New Board Members

The CUNA Technology Council announced its executive committee and officers during their 14th Annual Summit, which took place Aug. 5-8 in San Francisco, Calif.

Rudy Pereira, senior vice president of operations and technology for Alliant CU in Chicago will remain the chair. Jackie Buchanan, chief information officer for Genisys CU in Pontiac, Mich., was re-appointed vice-chair.

During the recent elections for four seats, incumbent Buchanan was re-elected along with Belinda Caillouet, vice president of information technology for Spokane Teachers CU in Spokane, Wash. Two new members were elected to the executive committee: Jennifer Weiss, vice president technology services, Sandia Laboratory FCU in Albuquerque, N.M. and Jeff Johnson, senior vice president information technology, Baxter CU in Vernon Hills, Ill. They replaced outgoing committee members Gordon Gregory, vice president of technology for Mazuma CU in Kansas City, Mo. and Ron Broaddus, chief information officer for Potlatch 1 FCU in Lewiston, Idaho. Both stepped down after fulfilling a three year term on the committee.

In addition to the elections, Heather Moshier, EVP Information Technology, San Diego County CU in San Diego, Calif. joins the Council's leadership, as an appointment to fill the vacancy created by Juan Luna, chief technology officer, Xceed Financial CU in El Segundo, Calif. who recently stepped down from the executive committee.

The Technology Council's executive committee also includes John Morawski, chief technology officer for Massachusetts Credit Union League; Robert Reh, chief information officer for Nassau Financial FCU in Garden City, N.Y.; and Brian Warfel, executive vice president of sales and service for Power Financial CU in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
