Member Spotlight: Bill D’Camp

Bill D’Camp has been the IT manager for Honda Federal Credit Union in Torrance, California, for the last six years. He previously spent more than 20 years working on defense-oriented projects and as an IT consultant to a variety of businesses.

Bill started his career as a software developer working mostly in assembly language and working on both applications and system programming, including device drivers for RSX-11, IAS, VMS, and various flavors of UNIX. While working as a consultant in Japan, he was part of a team that established the first disaster-recovery site for a foreign financial services company in Japan. He has spent 18 years in Asia and lived in Japan, Okinawa, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Guam. He also speaks Japanese and Chinese Mandarin.
